What matters is that they can use their phones and make their calls when they want to and when they need to. However, for people who are running the organization, they will naturally be on the lookout for new technology to improve their business. They need to find something compatible with their systems without having to spend so much on putting these things together. Hence, the birth of Hosted PBX.

The concept of PBX is nothing new to users of phone systems that are usually in use throughout corporations with many offices to connect. PBX stands for Public Branch Exchange, a telephony system that accepts calls from the main public telephone network and disseminates the calls to their respective extensions, however many they are throughout an organization. The traditional PBX had its hardware located somewhere in the premises of the organization.

The trend of the future is a branching off from the traditional PBX. The concept of the PBX is still the same - the routing of calls for an organization through their extensions, but this time, the company itself doesn't need to invest in the hardware for the PBX. They can search for a hosted PBX provider, whose main service is to "Host" the PBX, very much like the concept of an Internet Service Provider putting up your website. If your office receives a call, it doesn't go directly to your office. It goes instead to the receiving end of the Hosting Provider who has the machinery and the equipment at their location. They in turn, through their hardware, will relay the calls to your office through an internet connection.

The potential for Hosted PBX has great benefits for businesses that are in the process of upgrading their telephony system. It also is a great option for small to medium-sized businesses that don't have the capacity for a full-blown traditional PBX. The installation costs alone for traditional PBX can be staggering which can be a huge deterrent for some companies. What's more, since you don't' own the equipment, you don't have to worry about the hardware getting obsolete and you never have to worry about upgrading in the future. Also part of the Hosted PBX Service, it is also capable of servicing calls that are not immediately picked up. The system can handle voicemails, faxes, automated greetings, call records and routing of calls to the first available person in the department.
Normally, people working in their offices don't really care about how they receive and make their phone calls. Their appeal to burglars is their relative liquidity, profusion, and sheer straightforwardness of concealment once taken.

Though there is not any 100 p.c assured strategy to guard your mobile phone from these underhand thieves, there are quite a few methods to nearly guarantee that your telephone will never be stolen or finish up in the hands of someone you never gave authorization to make use of your phone.

TIP 1

One of the first and foremost most simple ways to shield your phone from burglary is to be certain to always have it in sight. Never leave it in a public space and expect it to be there when you return. One of the most typical tactics that mobile phones are stolen is when people lay their purse or bag down in a mall when they realize that they left one of their purchases in the store they were just in. This is extremely stupid considering that there are folks that stake out in malls to exploit these sorts of folks and steal their mobile phones. In reality as sorrowful as it sounds, some of the people may be able to make a full time living participating in such terrible business practices.

TIP 2

Another guaranteed route to be sure that your mobile phone isn't nicked is to enable GPS location mapping on your mobile gizmo. Why this is so important is that if your telephone is ever stolen, local authorities could be able to trace your phone via the global positioning system and find the burglar that took your telephone and prosecute them to the full extent of the law, as well as return your telephone back to you.

This one tip alone will save you many headaches in the future if your phone is ever stolen, since it is almost a guaranteed way to locate your telephone, since most thieves will either use the phone themselves or sell it to somebody who'll use it themselves. Seldom will mobile phone burglars switch off the telephone they lifted if they plan on using it or selling it to someone that plans to use it.

TIP 3

A last way to deter thieves from stealing your mobile phone is to line up a phone lock password on your gadget. This way, when a thief attempts to filch your telephone, he is going to realize that your telephone is locked. Since she or he doesn't know the password, they may desert their effort to filch your mobile phone altogether since the telephone will be pointless to them or someone they try to sell it to since they don't know the password and therefore cannot access the features on the gadget.

OUTLINE

Though these last three techniques look like common sense, you may be stunned to find yourself not following these methods on an everyday basis, simply because you suspect that you're going to not be the fortunate person to get their telephone stolen. Nothing could be further from the truth, since each day, thousands of phones are reported thieved across the UK.

By employing these 3 easy required groundwork systems, you may just about be guaranteed to never find yourself in a position where your telephone has been robbed by some punk at the food shop or even in your workspace.

About the Author:

We have got a mobile repair store called HTC reparation and if you are in Denmark and need your mobile telefone corrected then this is the place to come if your are in our capital Copenhagen. There are various considerations in choosing the appropriate PDA or pocket pc plus it would depend on your current status, whether you're a student, a professional, or a businessperson.

Also, don't forget about your budget because this is the greatest factor that can affect your decision.

About the Author:

Take a look at the internet site London Phone Systems.

Cell Phone Reception Can Easily Be Improved Using The Signal Boost

By Santadio Ehime Xavier

Poor cell phone reception can be a thing of the past for you if you pick up the Signal Boost. For both work and social reasons, many people rely on their cell phones, even more than computers to stay in touch and exchange information. One of the worst things that can occur is to have poor reception or delays which can be very confusing while you were talking. If you are thinking about finding a way to improve your cell phone signal, here are few highlights of what the Wilson signal booster can do for you.

It is common to hear people arguing as to whether or not their carrier is better than their friends or if their cell phone has better reception. The service that you have, and it's quality, are based upon where you live and where you use your cell phone most of the time. Cell phone towers are continually going up across our nation, but it is hard to keep up with the demand for coverage each and every spot. If you are looking to improve your reception, the Signal Boost should be able to help you no matter where you live or what type of reception you have. You may have your favorite phone or cell phone company, but if your signal is weak, you still need some help.

If you use your cell phone a lot, more than likely you have had a few calls dropped from time to time which is very irritating. This can happen virtually anywhere, whether you are driving down the road, or sitting in the comfort of your home.

One of the selling points of the New Signal Boost is that you receive a complete kit that's easy to install.

One of the selling points of the Wilson 801247 DT Signal Boost is that you receive a complete kit that's easy to install.

If you are having a great deal of trouble at your house picking up and receiving phone calls on your cell phone, the Wilson 801247 DT Signal Boost is an ideal solution. This is an ideal unit for anyone that receives very important phone calls on a regular basis. A Wilson signal boosting product can make things a lot more convenient for you, and boost your professional image along with your cell phone reception.

One thing that's gaining popularity is having more than one cellphone. And Sony Ericsson devices seem to be leading the rest in this regard. Check with your neighborhood mobile phone retailer to find out more.

About the Author:

To promptly and easily locate some outstanding specials on the beneficial Sony Ericsson X8, you need to stop by the common Sony Ericsson X8 site at once.

Apple Announces iPhone 4S

Apple iPhone 4S

Apple has unveiled the iPhone 4S, the next version of its popular smartphone.

It will be available for pre-order on Oct. 7 and available to purchase on Oct. 14. But it seems that it’ll not be ready until Q2 2011 due to the 4G chip will only be shipped next year. And the rumor claims iPhone 4G is the “real 4G” that will include 4th generation communication such as LTE and WiMax.

According to MacVideo in their encounter with Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, Lars Johnson from Beceem, a 4G chip called BCS5000, which is being developed by Beceem will only be shipped to manufacturers for mass production until Q2 of 2011. And iPhone 4G is likely adopting this 4G chip to provide the super high-speed of 4G connectivity.

This is of course good news for the iPhone users, with the capability of 4G connectivity, the iPhone 4G will be able to enjoy super high speeds of 4G between 100-150 Mbps. The bad news is you’ll have to wait for another year for the iPhone 4G as the Beceem claims that the 4G chip and its components will only be shipped sometime in Q2 2011. So, if iPhone 4G was to use this 4G chip, it’d only be released after the 4G chip had become available.

Now there are two versions of the release date for the iPhone 4G. One claims to be June/July 2010 and another will be sometime in Q2 next year (2011). Would Apple proceed to release iPhone 4G without including the super-fast 4G chip sometime this summer?

via gaj-it

Power A case turns your iPhone into a universal remote

Here comes the Power A universal remote case for the iPhone, which turns your iPhone into a universal remote to control your home theater, TV and other entertainment equipments. If gold is your choice as a symbol for prosperity, then the Nokia N97 Mini Gold shall be the great choice to replace your existing N97.

via ubergizmo

The solar-powered Puma Phone

Puma, the brand name that is mostly heard associated with sport wears and gears, is now into mobile phone business. Puma has teamed up with Sagem Wireless to have created and announced the Puma Phone at Mobile World Congress.

The Puma Phone looks pretty similar to the Palm Pre but without the slider. It comes equipped with a solar panel that makes it great to be rechargeable anywhere as long as sunlight is available. The phone allows 2 hours of music playback or sending of 30 messages after it’s got charged under “medium sunlight” for an hour. A full charge will give you 5 hours of talk time, 350 hours of standby and 24 hours of music playback.

The Puma Phone features a 2.8 inch screen which is rather small but Puma claims the UI is “thumbable” that ensures a single-handed operation. The phone also includes a 3.2 megapixel camera, GPS with tracking and Geo-tagging capabilities, Blueotooth, Pedometer, 3D Accelerometer, stopwatch and cycle tracker. Apparently it’s a phone aimed for geeks with intensive outdoor sports activities.

The Puma Phone also comes with built-in FM radio, which can pull live sports feed from Puma World and mCommerce. It’s also loaded with an app that allows the users to customize and order new gears and things from Puma online shop. The music player on this Puma Phone also adds little fun, showing a software vinyl player when the music plays, allowing the users to Virtual Scratch the tunes. It’s due in April and should be priced around the £250 (about $394 USD) mark.

via mightygadget

Samsung Wave smartphone with Super AMOLED display and Bluetooth 3.0

Samsung Wave is the latest Samsung smart phone that comes equipped with a 3.3-inch Super AMOLED display which has full touchscreen capability and boasts WVGA (800 x480 p) resolution. Anyway, all these are just rumors, nothing is official yet.

via gadgetvenue gaj-it

4th-gen iPhone may see you in April

Rumors come all the way from South Korea, claiming that the 4th generation iPhone may be coming in April 2010. And the new iPhone will likely be equipped with an OLED display, video-chat capability, along with much faster performance and flexible battery.

The information was published by the Korean newspaper, Korea Times, which claims they’ve got it from the current iPhone’s career in Korea, KT Telecom. The source says the iPhone 4G will come with dual-core CPU, which is the first time in smart phone industry and it’s likely be a new ARM Cortex A9 CPU under development.

The iPhone 4G also allows its battery to be removable, which has been the major complaint for the pass three generations of iPhone. With the flexible and removable battery, users will be able to use after-market batteries to extend usage time.

There will also be a front-facing camera dedicated for video calling, along with a high-performance main camera. KT expects the launch of the iPhone 4G to be in June 2010 and may plan to get their corporate clients to try out as early as in April.

via devicemag

Audiovox Zentral lets Bluetooth phones work as remote controls for your home

Audiovox has come up with a remote control hub, called Zentral, which allows Bluetooth-enabled phones to work as a remote control for various gadgets in your home. The Zentral receives signals from the smart phone via Bluetooth and translate the signals into IR commands to beam to your home entertainment (TV, stereo, home theater etc) and automation systems.

The Zentral is basically a little box equipped with Bluetooth receiver and IR transmitter that is powerful enough to bounce the IR signals off walls and ceilings. So, there is no problem at all how the Zentral is placed, it can just sit on top of any of your home entertainment equipment (As shown in the picture).

Currently, the Zentral comes with a universal remote control app for the iPhone, so you can use the iPhone to control various of your home entertainment and automation gadgets via the Zentral. There is also an application for the BlackBerry which allows the control of garage door opener.

The system plus the accessories all come in affordable prices such as the AV controller costs $80 and garage door opener costs only $50. More home automation gadgets will be included later such as lighting and thermostat. They will hit the stores in spring.

Mophie iPhone credit card scanner

Mophie, primarily known for their juice/battery packs or cases, has now taken a leap, planning to produce a credit card scanner for the iPhone. The picture above shows that the Mophie iPhone credit card reader will likely come in the form of a case which its bottom has a reader for you to swipe your customer’s credit card for accepting payment on the go.

The Mophie’s credit card scanner is a combo of hardware and their own software solution. The Mophie Credit card scanner is simply handy for small business owners, which you can use it on your iPhone to swipe the credit cards of your customers for collecting payments.

It’s unclear whether Mophie is getting into transaction business or they simply act as a middle man. But I guess the latter shall be the better choice for them as transaction business is not their cup of tea. If you’ve got an older version of iPhone or iPod Touch that restricts you with the mere 8GB storage, you can simply make use of AirStash to boost the storage.

The AirStash has a USB connector on one side and a SD card slot on the other. So, you should be able to hook up a USB flash drive or an SD memory card to increase the storage of your iPhone or iPod Touch. You can have your iPhone to wirelessly grab the data stored on the AirStash’s memory.

There is still little information about the AirStash such as the security protocols, battery life, compatibility etc. But it’s definitely a handy one if you have an old version of the iPhone or iPod Touch. Simply keep AirStash in your pocket with a memory card or USB drive connected, you can have more storage for your clips and files. More info of AirStash will be revealed at CES.

AirStash via gadgetvenue

Google Nexus One Phone gets official

As expected, Google Nexus One phone was officially announced on Jan 5 2010 in California. The Nexus One runs Android 2.1, comes with features including 3.7-inch 480 x 800 touchscreen, GPS, accelerometer, light, proximity sensor, microSD card slot (up to 32GB), 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, and powered by the 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

The Nexus One phone is product of the close partnership between Google and HTC and Google has categorized it in the Superphones category. Android 2.1 on the Nexus one allows 5 home screens to be defined. The GPS capability also allows your to track location-aware weather information, which you can also create a widget of weather to place on the home screen.

Although it packs lots of goodies but unfortunately it lacks of multi-touch! Applications such as browser, maps, and other programs do not make use of multi touch on the Nexus One’s touchscreen. Whether you like it or not, the LG KS-20 smartphone is deemed as LG’s new hard work to challenge the iPhone, after LG’s few previous attempts such as the LG Prada etc.

The LG KS-20 has a very tidy and uncluttered candybar design, which makes it look like a luxurious infant. The front panel comes with only two buttons, for main calling functions only. As the LG KS-20 smartphone is equipped with a 2.8 inch touchscreen, which is the basic need to be qualified as an iPhone challenger. Besides, it's a stylus for the touchscreen.

The phone comes loaded with Windows Mobile 6 OS, which is clear an attempt aiming those business class who prefer a smartphone with the Windows Mobile environment. The KS-20 is also equipped with wireless connectivities such as WLAN, which is common in very every smartphone these days. And of work, high-speed Net connectivity that rides on the HSDPA. The phone also supports Bluetooth 2.0 and the memory expansion can be by the microSD card slot. The camera of this guy is definitely much behind with today’s high-end cellphones from other makers. The phone has a 2-megapixel camera only. Other than the LED flash that comes with the camera, the megapixels that it carries is basically disappointing to plenty of of us. Overall the features seem to be qualified as a iPhone challenger except the camera.

Zumobi widget applications for Windows smartphones

The Zumobi’s widgets are called “Tiles”, which has a total of 16 titles laid on the Zumobi’s zoom space. Similar to electric toothbrushes, inductive power sends current obtained from a wall adapter through a coil in a charging unit. As current flows through the coil, it generates a magnetic field, which in turn induces a current to flow to the receiving coil in the toothbrush handle.

MWG will produce Windows mobile phones or PDAs that can be charged wirelessly by magnetic induction. And they target to ship the wirelessly chargeable devices by mid 08. Fundamentally, the technology used is similar to the two used in portable toothbrushes, provided by U.K.-based Splashpower.

Splashpower says its inductive charger can deliver up to 850mA of current, at up to 8.5 Volts. It’s got capability to detect the legitimate devices to keep away from misuse. And most importantly, it ain’t affect or erase any magnetic media, interfere with any equipments such as pacemakers. The inductive charger allows multiple devices to be charged on it at three times and gives short charging period.

ANYCOM Stowaway Keyboard lets you type quickly on your PDA, smartphone

Although your smartphone, PDA or UMPC comes with a QWERTY keyboard, but I don’t think they can provide you as much productivity as the full-sized PC QWERTY that your’re used to. This is basically because of your fingers are large to type quickly on the excessively tiny QWERTY of your PDA or smartphone. Due to the tiny size of the QWERTY of your smartphone or PDA, you tend to not to use it for typing long email messages, memos or surfing the net. Even though it comes with all the functionalities that you get on your laptop/PC. The ANYCOM Stowaway Keyboard is the wireless Bluetooth-enabled full-sized PC keyboard that works with any PDA, smartphone, tablet etc, to enable you to gain as much productivity as using the full-sized PC QWERTY keyboard.

The ANYCOM Stowaway Keyboard is similar to any full-sized PC keyboard, which is having 18mm spacing, 4 key rows, foldable and works well with any Bluetooth-enabled gadgets. It’s got long battery life, which can operate up to 60 hours and stand by up to 7,000 hours seven time fully charged. For frequent business traveler, now you can leave your laptop at home and bring along the new combination, i.e PDA or smartphone or UMPC and the Stowaway keyboard, whenever you travel. And this new combination should be much not as hard for you to take care and transport than your laptop and you won’t lose any of your productivity. Anyway, this keyboard seems to be popular, as it’s run out of stock on the online store.

Via Techchee

An iPhone without the phone or it’s an iPhone clone?

iPhone is coming in to Asia market in 2008, there is no surprise that we’d see plenty of iPhone-clones coming up in Asia before iPhone launched in 2008. Well, the copycats phenomenon has become a norm in Asia market, China.

M8, the rumored product of Meizu, which looks much like an iPhone, but it was first reported having no mobile phone function, which was said as purely a MiniPlayer, the newer version of its M6. The M8 was first said to feature a 533MHz Samsung ARM processor, a 2.6-inch screen & loaded with the Windows CE OS.

This is something that we’ve seldom seen before , i.e an MP3 player with Windows CE loaded. Due its “imitation of design” of the iPhone, the touch-screen feature is difinitely a must.

According to Engadget, the post by a senior discussion-forum jockey on the Meizu site, the M8 is now said to measure in at a scant 57×105x11.5-mm & packs both a GSM & Chinese TD-SCDMA 3G radio, a 3.3-inch 720×480 pixel display, Bluetooth, a 3 megapixel camera, & an ARM11 CPU capable of recording video at 30fps at the device’s full 720 x 480 resolution. GSM, camera, Windows CE loaded? A smartphone? A PDA ? I guess it could be a change of direction by Meizu in to producing an iPhone clone in lieu of only an MP3 player due to the overwhelming buzz of iPhone. Will Apple take any action on this ?

Via Crave, Via Engadget, Via Dapreview
